Transpennine Route Upgrade – Common Lane Bridge Closure
The Common Lane bridge over the railway in Church Fenton will be closed to traffic from 13th July 2026 until 4th June 2027.

There will be a temporary foot bridge from Sandwath Lane to the existing station foot bridge for pedestrians.
